Lead Hand

The Opportunity:

McKay Métis Contracting is seeking an experienced Lead Hand. Camp is provided. Flights to and from Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta.

The Role:

Reporting to the Superintendent, the Lead Hand is responsible for supervising the day-to-day site operations for their area(s).

Accountabilities:

Assist with daily operational activities for assigned work areas.
Ensuring work activities are performed in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
Coordinate work as required.
Ensure all required paperwork including but not limited to; time sheets, FLRA's,

work orders, maintenance requests are submitted in a timely manner with any
required company and or client signatures.

Represent the company as a liaison to help resolve any customer, employee, or

contractor concerns in a professional manner.

Ensure all site rules are communicated to employees and adhered to at all times.
Support field operations in all aspects.
Provide leadership in safety and quality performance and ensure due diligence in

client and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to Department Managers divisional concerns, issues, and performance

of the team

Contribute to the training and mentorship program for all new hires.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and

as required by the needs of the business.

Supervise daily operational activities for assigned work areas. Ensures work

activities are performed in a safe, productive, and efficient manner

All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License
Previous supervisory experience
OSSA/BSO/CSO certificate
Previous experience with combo trucks considered an asset

Schedule:

14 days on, 7 days off, 11.5hour shifts.
