Lead Hand
The Opportunity:
McKay Métis Contracting is seeking an experienced Lead Hand. Camp is provided. Flights to and from Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta.
The Role:
Reporting to the Superintendent, the Lead Hand is responsible for supervising the day-to-day site operations for their area(s).
Accountabilities:
- Assist with daily operational activities for assigned work areas.
- Ensuring work activities are performed in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
- Coordinate work as required.
- Ensure all required paperwork including but not limited to; time sheets, FLRA's,
required company and or client signatures.
- Represent the company as a liaison to help resolve any customer, employee, or
- Ensure all site rules are communicated to employees and adhered to at all times.
- Support field operations in all aspects.
- Provide leadership in safety and quality performance and ensure due diligence in
- Reporting to Department Managers divisional concerns, issues, and performance
- Contribute to the training and mentorship program for all new hires.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and
- Supervise daily operational activities for assigned work areas. Ensures work
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Previous supervisory experience
- OSSA/BSO/CSO certificate
- Previous experience with combo trucks considered an asset
Schedule:
- 14 days on, 7 days off, 11.5hour shifts.
