Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - Waterloo - Becket House


We have a great opportunity for a Project Planner to join our highly successful Projects business unit; primarily supporting M&E fit out projects within our PFI FM contracts.

Key Activities

  • Will oversee planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Define the programme's governance arrangements
  • Ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards
  • Manage the programme's budget on behalf of the SRO, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses
  • Analise and report on the delivery of new products or services from projects with reference to the level of quality, time, and budget constraints, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements
  • Ensure there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects by identifying requirements and advising the senior management team
  • Manage third party contributions to the programme
  • Manage communications with all stakeholders
  • Identify and manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
  • Identify and Manage risks to the programme's successful outcome

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes
  • Sound business case development and approvals skills
  • Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties
  • Good knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP and APM/PRINCE
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme
  • The ability to find ways of solving or preempting problems

Desirable

  • Construction/MEP bias/background
  • Appropriate professional institute membership or working towards
  • Full clean driving licence
