Leo's Donair began its journey in 1981, when its founder Leo Toulany and his wife, Jean, began supplying ground beef to local businesses.


As the love of Donair grew in our home province of Nova Scotia, so did the demand for supplying restaurants.

Since then, Leo has turned his small operation into the Donair production it is today, evolving into the province's leading supplier.

Leo has taken great pride in providing quality Donair along with many other Donair products, gluten free included.

It was hard not to feel proud when the Province of Nova Scotia declared the Donair as its official food in 2015.


Job Description for Production Associates for Donair Processing and Packaging Operations

Responsibilities

  • Sanitation activities (cleaning floors, sinks, tools, equipment parts, etc).
  • Entering cold environments (cold storage) for product retrieval / storage.
  • Perform packaging tasks (labelling, bottling, and bagging product).
  • Must work at various paces (slow to fast paced environments) depending on production needs.
  • Will be producing the following products, but no limited to: Donair patties, sausages, loafs, breaded/ battered fingers, and Donair sauce.
  • Operation of heavy equipment for dispensing products into bottles, sealing raw meat products and forming meat.
  • Must abide by facilities health and safety, and PPE procedures.
  • This role involves lifting 90 lb buckets between two people. Dumping products into machines.

Qualifications and skills

  • High school diploma
  • Capable of lifting heavy equipment and products.
  • Punctual, proactive, team player
- +1 year of experience related.
