Reporting to the VP, Data and Enterprise Platforms, the Director of Data Management & Reporting is a highly impactful and visible position accountable for leading and building a team tasked to ensure IO data and reporting is appropriately developed, overseen, organized, and stored utilizing best practice data frameworks, strong data governance and industry best practices for data and reporting management.


What You Will Do:

Building a highly capable Data Management and Reporting team:

  • Implement best practices across Data Management and Reporting in ensuring Data Management becomes a core IO capability.
  • Coach and provide leadership to team members by developing key capabilities and experiences in alignment with IO's current and future data needs.
  • Demonstrate leadership by delivering high quality data solutions and effective execution.

- **Data management**:
  • Lead the design, development, and modification of data infrastructure to accelerate the processes of data analysis and reporting.
  • Direct the development of and maintain data management standards of operations when handling and archiving data of business systems in coordination with the IO policy, Records Management team and business groups.
  • Manage the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures.
  • Direct the evaluation of the design, selection, and implementation of database changes by comparing them with business requirements and design documents.

- **Reporting**:
  • Direct the analysis of data to determine its relevance to clients and coordinate efforts to address deficiencies.
  • Direct the development of reports and dashboards in support of business operational needs.
  • Direct the training of users on the use of the data lake as selfserve resource.

  • Substantial related experience building and leading a highly capable Data Management and Reporting team
  • Experience developing and deploying scalable and reliable data management systems and procedures
  • Experience working on large transformational projects
  • Strong executive presence and the experience in influencing change within large, complex organizations.
