    Description

    Job Summary

    As an Maintenance Electrician at Martinrea International Inc., you will be responsible for maintaining physical plant and equipment to ensure 100% production up-time. You will maintain, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure the robustness of production equipment. Additionally, you will ensure the safety of all manufacturing equipment and facilities in the plant.

    Responsibilities

    Key Functions:

    • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure production up-time.
    • Electrical System Maintenance: Maintain and repair complex electrical and electronic components of production equipment.
    • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and Company policies.
    • Problem Solving: Diagnose and remedy electrical troubles, and repair and replace electrical apparatus as needed.
    • Communication: Communicate effectively with employees, support departments, and management to ensure seamless production operations.

    Requirements

    Education and Experience:

    • Electrical Certificate: Possess a recognized electrical certificate and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
    • Communication Skills: Good English communication skills (oral and written).
    • Blueprint Reading: Thorough knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.
    • Mathematical and Mechanical Aptitude: Possess good mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
    • PLC Programming: PLC programming/training is a definite asset.
    • Forklift License: Forklift license is an asset.

    Work Environment

    Plant Floor: This position will work primarily on the plant floor, with occasional overtime and weekend work as required.

    Health and Safety

    Personal Protective Equipment: Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies, and procedures, and use or wear personal protective equipment as required.
