Primary Purpose


Toronto School of Management is currently seeking a
Student Guidance Officer who has the commitment and drive to help students achieve their greatest success.

The Student Services Advisor - Program Specific will be responsible for managing and coordinating academic-related activities and resources for all students within the Niagara College Toronto.

The role holder will assist with overseeing student experience and provide ongoing support and guidance to all students enrolled in the each of NCT's specific programs, in addition to providing a high level of commitment to excellence and integrity in serving all key stakeholders.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Closely work with the Student Services Manager, the Student Services Officers, and all department heads, to improve customer service and enhance the student experience.
  • Effectively plan and support the team in the student orientation.
  • Coordinate and optimize the student flow on campus.
  • Communicate with students regarding any changes or important notifications.
  • Actively participate in webinars, events, Q&As, info sessions (on campus and online) and collaborate in planning, organizing, and facilitating Student Services initiatives for students.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Position Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline required.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience working in a Private Career College and with international students.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Acts with ethics, accountability and integrity and demonstrates sound judgment and respect for the individual in all interactions with others.
  • Builds trusting and productive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent timemanagement skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
