Summary:
Do you enjoy organizing and making sense of challenging tasks? Our Coordinator, Support Services will take the lead to ensure our Project Development Team is setup for success through administrative excellence.
Reporting to the Lead, Business Admin PDG, the Coordinator, Support Services provides diverse support and coordination for the projects and functional teams in line with the strategic direction for the department.
Responsibilities:
Departmental Support Accountabilities:
- Provide Executive Administrative support to multiple Directors.
- Compiles and analyzes tracking data; prepares and coordinates reports and communicates findings to management.
- Assist with headcount management, org chart maintenance, and distribution.
- Complete ad hoc projects as assigned that require a quick turnaround.
- Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by the Lead, Business Admin PDG.
Project Support Accountabilities:
- Detailing and following up on meaningful actions and decisions from meetings.
- Carry out project plans according to established project methodologies and systems to ensure successful and coordinated completion of project components by working with collaborators and/or user groups and support departments.
- Liaise with the project team, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Perform additional assignments and responsibilities from Project Directors / Managers.
Qualifications:
- University/college degree or certification in project management (i.e. business management) from appropriately accredited institution.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer and Visio.
- Proficient in SharePoint.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks based on comparative importance and urgency.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Independent, selfmotivated, able to take the initiative to collaborate with other departments and/or external sources.
- Knowledge of the mining and or construction industry would be considered highly valuable.
