D&L Engineering Sales Limited is a Halifax, Nova Scotia-based company that is a regional leader in the Fire & Life Safety Industry.

We provide products and services to Fire Alarm and Fire Protection Markets. We are recruiting a Service Technician to join our dynamic team.


Responsibilities

• Fire alarm system commissioning and verification
• Fire alarm system inspection and preventive maintenance
• Identify, troubleshoot and correct fire alarm system technical problems
• Complete site inspection and verification reports in a timely manner
• Participate in 24hour oncall emergency response service
• Participate in the Canadian Fire Alarm Association technician program
• Perform responsibilities in accordance with CAN/ULC standards for fire alarm systems
• Follow and participate in safety and ISO quality standards
• Travel within HRM and Atlantic Canada as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Certified electronics technician or equivalent experience
• Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) registration would be an asset
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety safe work practices
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
• Criminal background check required
• Ability to attain Security Clearance

$41,500.00-$64,000.00 per year
