Description

• Certified Specification Writer (CSP), and/or association with Construction Specifications Canada is preferred.
• Minimum 510 years general architecture experience with 24 years' experience in specification writing, project research and contract document coordination.
• Ability to research products and systems and translate findings into clear instruction.
• Able to interpret drawings and schedules.
• Familiar with Building Codes, National Master Spec (NMS), MasterFormat, Section Format, CCDC Documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to read, interpret, apply, and explain drawings, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of architectural and interior design detailing.
• Knowledge of construction practices, standards, laws, codes, ordinances, bonds and insurances.
• Strong time management skills to work on multiple projects at once.
• Organized and selfdirected to meet project schedules and timelines.
• Strong attention to detail for editing and reviewing in Word, Excel and other MS Office Products.
• Demonstrated ability to produce quality deliverables, delegate effectively and monitor project tasks.
• Knowledge of how work is done on site is considered an asset.
