Work Arrangements
- The Music Department in the Faculty of Language, Literature and Performing Arts is seeking to expand its list of instructors qualified to teach (QTT) Music private lessons. We are particularly interested in expanding our list of instructors qualified to teach French horn or percussion.
- Percussion instruction work is available beginning in the Fall 2023 semester and is assigned each semester based on enrolment. Class Percussion and Class Brass are offered in alternate Winter semesters.

ResponsibilitiesTo Be Successful in this Role You Will Need** a minimum of Master's degree in Music or equivalent experience;
- a demonstrated ability to teach across a variety of musical styles;
- extensive knowledge of repertoire and pedagogy appropriate for the instrument or ensemble;
- a record of successful teaching and recruitment at the post-secondary level;
- a demonstrated ability to work with a population of diverse adult learners;
- a strong commitment to maintaining and growing enrolment in your studio;
- excellent communication skills, demonstrated initiative and creativity, effective interpersonal skills, and self-directedness;
- evidence of ongoing professional development.
