This position is based on a shift work schedule requiring evenings, overnights, weekends and holiday hours as needed. The role is in person and located in our Markham, ON headquarters.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitoring 1000+ television channels to ensure the quality and stability of services
  • Performing commercial insertions in programming
  • Interact with customers and television distribution partners.
  • Operating video playout software and broadcast equipment as directed
  • Completing detailed trouble tickets to effectively communicate ongoing issues or the need for followup to team members
  • Notifying clients of maintenance events
  • Assisting in handling technical maintenance events
  • Attempting to resolve problems and/or report equipment problems to Engineering and perform emergency workarounds.
  • Jumping in on other duties as necessary for emergency or special operating conditions. i.e. live events and operator replacement
  • Working onsite as this is an In Person role
  • Working exclusively overnight shifts including and not limited to weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Working in a 24/7 environment (shift rotation as needed)
  • Expecting to be On Call if needed

Your Background/Qualifications

  • Experience in a video Broadcasting environment
  • Technical experience within this industry a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make accurate and quick decisions to maintain the integrity of operations
  • Clear ability to multitask and prioritize while working under pressure
  • An ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems
  • Demonstrated aptitude for technology
  • Must be a quick learner and willing to adapt to new technologies, new tasks, and workflow procedures
  • Able to recognize priority issues and escalate them to Supervisors, IT, and Engineering staff
  • Able to work exclusively overnights and weekends including holidays
  • Proven ability to work, primarily unsupervised, as well as a team member

$21.00-$23.00 per hour
