This position is based on a shift work schedule requiring evenings, overnights, weekends and holiday hours as needed. The role is in person and located in our Markham, ON headquarters.

What You'll Be Doing

Monitoring 1000+ television channels to ensure the quality and stability of services
Performing commercial insertions in programming
Interact with customers and television distribution partners.
Operating video playout software and broadcast equipment as directed
Completing detailed trouble tickets to effectively communicate ongoing issues or the need for followup to team members
Notifying clients of maintenance events
Assisting in handling technical maintenance events
Attempting to resolve problems and/or report equipment problems to Engineering and perform emergency workarounds.
Jumping in on other duties as necessary for emergency or special operating conditions. i.e. live events and operator replacement
Working onsite as this is an In Person role
Working exclusively overnight shifts including and not limited to weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
Working in a 24/7 environment (shift rotation as needed)
Expecting to be On Call if needed

Your Background/Qualifications

Experience in a video Broadcasting environment
Technical experience within this industry a must
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make accurate and quick decisions to maintain the integrity of operations
Clear ability to multitask and prioritize while working under pressure
An ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems
Demonstrated aptitude for technology
Must be a quick learner and willing to adapt to new technologies, new tasks, and workflow procedures
Able to recognize priority issues and escalate them to Supervisors, IT, and Engineering staff
Able to work exclusively overnights and weekends including holidays
Proven ability to work, primarily unsupervised, as well as a team member
