Position Summary:
The Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the Tennis Club as well as the related non-profit organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Club's overall accounting (accounts payable, receivables, payroll liaison with head office, etc).
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly P&Ls, balance ledgers.
- Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
- Able to ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard the Club's assets.
- Able to proactively assist with cost control requirements and revenue enhancement possibilities.
- Work closely with all areas in assisting with financial aspects, assisting when needed.
- Monitors tax compliance, and ensures that taxes are charged correctly and collected, file the local tax with the concerned authority on a monthly/regular basis.
- Supervising the accounting team.
- Any other tasks as and when required by the management.
Prerequisites:
- Should have an advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of POS systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Leadership
- Must possess excellent financial knowledge, analytical skills and be very well organized.
- Willing to contribute effort to all aspects of operations when needed, even if not financial department oriented
Education:
Accounting degree or similar major.
Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years of financial and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations.
