Position Summary:


The Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the Tennis Club as well as the related non-profit organization.

Additionally, responsible for the financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit and control, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash control. This is a hands-on financial position requiring flexibility and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the Club's overall accounting (accounts payable, receivables, payroll liaison with head office, etc).
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly P&Ls, balance ledgers.
  • Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
  • Able to ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard the Club's assets.
  • Able to proactively assist with cost control requirements and revenue enhancement possibilities.
  • Work closely with all areas in assisting with financial aspects, assisting when needed.
  • Monitors tax compliance, and ensures that taxes are charged correctly and collected, file the local tax with the concerned authority on a monthly/regular basis.
  • Supervising the accounting team.
  • Any other tasks as and when required by the management.

Prerequisites:


  • Should have an advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of POS systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership
  • Must possess excellent financial knowledge, analytical skills and be very well organized.
  • Willing to contribute effort to all aspects of operations when needed, even if not financial department oriented

Education:

Accounting degree or similar major.


Experience:

At least 3 to 5 years of financial and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations.
