Description
Responsible for managing and driving all initiatives aimed at providing a safe work environment to LCD Mechanical Inc. employees, contractors, visitors and customers through leadership and supporting LCD Mechanical's Health and Safety (HS) programs.- Develop updates and maintain HS Manuals, and HS policies and procedures and ensure they are effectively communicated to all employees.
- Ensure all employees are working within HS standards; have relevant safety certifications.
- Investigate all accidents, incidents and near misses and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Actively participate and lead the Joint Health and Safety committees and office employee safety meetings.
- University or college degree related to Health and Safety
- Strong working knowledge of OHSA and related Federal, Provincial and local regulations
- COR experience would be an asset
- Interpersonal Skills with the ability to influence others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good Organizational Skills with great attention to detail
- Valid driver's license required
- Travel to construction sites
- Computer proficiency in MS Office. Excel and Outlook
Salary:
$20.00 per hour
