    Overview

    Sales Representative (British Columbia, Canada) at Smith+Nephew. Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.

    This posting is part of a pipelining process for potential future openings.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a technical consultant for the product portfolio within the assigned territory, managing and growing defined business categories and ensuring access to Smith+Nephew technologies for patients through outstanding services to customers.
    • Convert physicians/accounts by making sales calls and providing clinical case coverage in the operating room; train surgeons on Smith+Nephew products through education/programs in the territory.
    • Collaborate with key orthopedic surgeons, hospitals, OR staff, Sterile Processing Department (SPD), administration, clinicians, and researchers; work cross-divisionally to increase awareness and adoption of products in the Smith+Nephew portfolio.
    • Establish strong, positive relationships with physicians, surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and hospital administrators to deliver trusted, data-driven solutions and gain meaningful access to customers.
    • Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to drive revenue and exceed sales targets.
    • Become a technical expert in the product portfolio and provide first-class technical support to ensure product availability meets customer and patient needs.
    • Partner with Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 2–5 years direct sales experience; medical device industry experience preferred
    • Experience selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call points
    • Proven track record of selling/converting business and achieving quota year over year
    • Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives

    Travel

    Travel within designated sales territory with 2–4 overnights a month depending on geography; infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
