We are looking for an upbeat and personable

People Services Advisor for our

Calgary branch who is passionate about building relationships with leaders and employees allowing you to become a trusted advisor for both You will be an advocate for our people, providing human resources support to the branch daily, while enabling our managers to focus on what they do best. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is looking to build their HR career and gain valuable experience.


A Day in the Life:


  • Provide daily employee support to all staff of the Calgary branch
  • Deliver highquality service and advice to the branch leadership team on employee relations and performance management situations
  • Lead various people and culture initiatives within the branch
  • Collaborate with the larger Long View People Services (PS) team to implement programs which help improve the employee experience
  • Administer policies, procedures and programs
  • Manage compensation changes and promotions
  • Administer disability management
  • Assist PS leadership with HR trending and analysis
  • Manage HRIS & benefits administration
  • Review quarterly vacation and sick time balances and handle escalated issues
  • Manage onboarding of new hires
  • Prepare termination and severance letters
  • Support the Health & Safety program for the branch
  • Assist with international visas & various immigration matters
  • Support the Career Life Planning process, including attending these sessions for employees each quarter

What You Bring:


  • 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations in Canada and Alberta
  • High emotional intelligence, with a focus on taking care of people
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Sound judgment and problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to forge and maintain effective and influential working relationships
  • Passion for working with and helping others and creating a great employee experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a flexible and agile environment
  • Education in human resources or related discipline
