The Coordinator, Parking Services - Edmonton Zone (South) performs a leadership role in Parking Services and reports directly to the Manager, Parking Services -EDM/North Zone or to the Director, Parking Services, depending on the coordinator's specific role.

This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of Parking Services in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services.

The position is responsible and accountable for making sector-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of Parking Services.

The Coordinator, Parking Services will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

The Coordinator, Parking Services is also responsible for one or more of the following areas:
Delivery and day-to-day operational oversight of parking services within the assigned portfolio. Delivery and oversight of parking enforcement services within the assigned portfolio.

Under the direction of the Manager, Parking Operations or the Director, Parking Services, development of provincial policies and standards for the Parking Services portfolio.

Under the direction of the Manager, Parking Operations or the Director, Parking Services, development of a transportation demand management initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of Grade 12 diploma. Post-secondary education in a business-related field would be an asset.

A minimum of 3 years in a front-line management or supervisory role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity.

A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector.

Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals.

Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.


Preferred Qualifications:
