Your role within the team:


  • Responsible for assigned scope of the project and accountable for performing duties that facilitate work progressing with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders as required generally including engineering, construction, quality client & subcontractors.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with client project counterparts.
  • Responsible for helping implement the project schedule and track budget for assigned engineering, procurement, construction segments of the project.
  • Coordinates with Engineering to ensure that the technical documents are prepared in support of the project.
  • Coordinates the preparation and delivery of project deliverables.
  • Provides status and progress reports in support of the Project Manager.
  • Ensure work is performed within quality program requirements.
  • Ensure a strong nuclear safety culture is reinforced continuously.
  • Employee may be assigned to shortterm field service assignments on Candu Field Services projects, typically during a customer's outages. During these assignments, the employee may be requested to perform work in a radiological work environment, once trained and qualified, and under the supervision of radiation protection personnel.

  • 12 years' experience leading individuals and teams is an asset.
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology or Construction Technology or equivalent is an asset.
  • Experience working in a Nuclear environment.
  • Understanding of nuclear supply chain and materials management principles.
  • Knowledge of Non Destructive Examination and CGSB standards is an asset
  • Knowledge of ASME/CSA welding standards and practices is an asset.
  • Can build a team and can inspire them to perform and work together towards a common goal.
  • An appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry.
  • Understanding of project delivery methodology including earned value, critical path scheduling, prime contract and subcontract management, procurement and supply chain methodology and inspection and test plans.
  • Lead by example and set high standards for Health & Safety and Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety and nuclear safety culture.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
