Posting Overview:


The Speech-Language Pathologist will primarily provide diagnosis and remediation of students with communications disorders including screening, assessment, consultation, programming and therapy.

Services will be provided primarily to exceptional students throughout the district.


Qualifications/Experience:


  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required;
  • Professional certification with the Ontario College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists (CALSPO) is required;
  • OSLA membership is an asset.

Other Key Skills & Knowledge:

- excellent communication, interpersonal and team member skills required in order to interact with students, parents and staff;
- previous experience as a speech-language pathologist in an education setting is preferred;
- excellent analytical skills;
- excellent leadership and team building skills;
- excellent time management and organization skills in order to meet deadlines;
- working knowledge of word processing software, preferably Microsoft Word;
- knowledge and experience with Augmentative Communication is an asset;
- travel throughout the district may be required;
- all other duties as assigned by the System Coordinator of Special Education.


Position Effective Date & Length:

Temporary, 35 hours/week. Home location to be determined.


Salary:
$38.47/hour - $40.92/hour
