Position Overview:


The Manager, Recovery room, Preadmission clinic and Pain clinic is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Recovery Room, Preadmission clinic and Pain Clinic with the goal to provide high quality patient care services within the available resources.

The Manager is accountable to the Director of Health Services of the Pan Am Clinic.

The Manager is responsible for ensuring high quality clinical and operating outcomes to meet the Clinic's goals for the provision of safe, efficient, effective and high-quality care.

The responsibilities of the Manager encompass the domains of leadership, planning and organization, communication, resource allocation, advancement of knowledge and continuous quality improvement.


Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a health care management capacity.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):


  • Bachelor of Nursing required.
  • Graduate degree in Health Service Administration an asset.
  • Certificate or degree from a recognized healthcare management program preferred.
  • A combination of experience and training appropriate for the position may be considered.

Certification/Licensure/Registration:


  • Active Registration with the CRNM.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in related program areas is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in human resource management.
  • Superior interpersonal, collaborative communications and facilitative skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, management and health disciplines.
  • Effective problem solver who promotes and communicates in ways that fosters maximum ownership and mínimal resistance to change and improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster an interdisciplinary collaborative environment that supports quality patient care/quality improvement.


Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.

The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
