Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a
Journeyperson Welders for the Fort MacKay location on a _2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation, 12-hour shifts_.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following;

What you will do:

Repair/rebuild of large mining equipment including; heavy haul truck boxes, dozer blades, shovel clam/backwall dippers

What you bring to the position:

Proficiency in all position use of: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW; all sizes of weld wire
Reading and interpretation of blueprints
Proficient in the use of oxy/fuel cutting equipment, electric welding machines
Active participation in Safety Programs
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times
Preference will be given to applicants that have worked on Oil Sands sites and demonstrate sustained safety consciousness

Your qualifications:

Certified Red Seal or Alberta Journeyperson Welder
One year of experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
Valid fall protection & elevated work platform certificate
Additional valid safety certifications is an asset
