Description

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift /shovel loader for the unloading/loading of stock.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift/shovel loader and following safe work procedures
Reporting safety hazards or production/quality issues immediately to the supervisor
Operate forklift/shovel loader for unloading/loading building materials.
Accurately count/report and maintain stock inventory levels
Assist in the monitoring of customer delivery schedules to ensure ontime delivery
Perform routine quality checks and complete quality checklist reporting and correcting any nonconformance
Follow Company policies and procedures
Perform warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operations.
Assist in loading and offloading trucks
Other duties as assigned

Qualification & Requirements:

Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
Valid forklift certification or equivalent knowledge and experience operating a forklift; willing to be trained as (required)
Valid Driver's License
High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience
Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
Able to work a weekly shift rotations
Climbing up and down stairs
Bending and standing with weight
Have the ability to work independently without constant direct supervision

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Salary:
$17.00-$21.00 per hour
