Overview:


Mancor Industries is a world-class precision manufacturer of metal components and sub-assemblies that uses state of the art machining and fabrication techniques to produce high value add, cost effective products for our strategic partners in North American Truck and Heavy duty equipment industries.


Reporting directly to the VP & GM your sphere of influence will have responsibility for directing, managing and coordinating the materials management activities of a tier 1 industrial metal fabrication and assembly plant.

This is a highly visible position with responsibility to provide results driven leadership to the purchasing, receiving, planning/scheduling, and shipping departments to plan optimum workflow, optimum equipment and resource utilization through the use of the Mancor Business Operating System.


The position will be responsible to achieve targets in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity (S,Q,D,P) as well as leading activities to drive continuous improvement in the Key Operations Indicators (KOI's) in an environment characterized by high growth and increasing customer expectations.


Tasks:


  • Accountability for all materials management activities through OnRamp (BOS) to ensure "zero lates" delivery performance;
  • Interact with suppliers and customers to ensure demand signals are understood and executed as customer build rates change with market influences;
- responsible for controlling and directing the procurement, transportation, storage, and distribution of raw materials and equipment, work in process, and finished goods
- monitoring the flow of materials and products from their initial receipt, through production and warehousing stages;
- identifying actual or potential areas of difficulty and recommending action to remedy these problems;

  • Assess and evaluate schedule execution across production processes and develop strategies that, when implemented, drive changes that help the team meet delivery objectives, improve operational efficiencies and overall cost effectiveness;
  • Responsibility for the ERP system in relation to Materials/Inventory/Purchasing
  • Develop and mentor direct reports for professional development and succession;

Ideal Competencies:


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing and operations experience in a like manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing and leading high growth teams.
  • Must possess a keen understanding of automotive and/or industrial parts manufacturing. Must be able to manage a low volume, high complexity product environment.
  • Must have a solid understanding of the specific process competencies and overall process complexity to build immediate credibility with employees, peers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and facts based decisionmaking skills to lead in a multiprocess manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership with a focus on developing process and structure to drive operational improvement.
  • Excellent mentoring and communication skills while driving a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Demonstrated working experience with customer EDI and forecasts, MRP, ERP, and DCP in a Business Operating System
  • Knowledge and experience with metal fabrication, preferably laser cutting, stamping, forming, welding, machining, and paint operations.

Salary:
$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
