Lynwood Charlton Centre (LCC) is a publicly funded charitable organization in the City of Hamilton which provides a spectrum of innovative and evidence-based, mental health services, including congregate care, day treatment, community-based services including in-home and school-based services, to children, youth, families and the community.
The Centre is funded and licensed by the Ministry for Children and Youth Services and accredited by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation.
We are currently looking for
Residential Team Lead for Lynwood Hall Intensive Out of Home Program to join our team.
Role Overview
Working under the direction of the Program Manager, the Residential Team Lead is responsible for the provision of day-to-day care and utilizing best practice and evidence informed treatment interventions with children/youth in a congregate care environment.

- Providing individual counselling to children/youth
- Adhere to all expectations as outlined in the Ministry of Children and Youth services (MCYS) children residence licensing requirements and agency policy and procedure.
- When necessary, contact with caregivers/guardians to share pertinent information and treatment updates.
- Support and provide advocacy for the child/youth and family.
Required
- Several years of progressive experience working with children/youth in a residential treatment setting
- Experience with navigating and/or collaborating with other community systems
- Experience working with and developing intervention plans aimed to enhance children/youth functioning
- Experience collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to set and achieve common goals.
- Experience demonstrating leadership capacity in previous roles
- Knowledge of child and youth mental health and relevant evidence informed treatment interventions
Education and Training Qualification(s)
- Diploma in CYC or Equivalent from recognized community college or a BA in a related field
- Certification in CHYMHs assessment or certification obtained within 3 months of hire
- Certification in SMG's Crisis Intervention Training
- First Aid
