**CORPORATE ACCOUNTING MANAGER - 18 MONTH ASSIGNMENT

Join us as Corporate Accounting Manager for this exciting 18 month assignment Oversee and manage the corporate accounting function, including managing the monthly close process and the reconciliation process, maintaining records appropriately in the ERP system, performing variance analysis and providing other key financial information for corporate entities.

Work on special projects as assigned.


Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage the monthly close process for the Corporate and Consolidated General Ledger/entities; ensure supporting account reconciliations are maintained for each balance sheet account
  • Manage the monthly close process to ensure completed accurately and on time, including preparing details for Corporately managed transactions/balances (e.g., payroll, benefits, workers compensation, insurance) and reconciliations of all interfaced ERPs to main ERP
  • Manage the intercompany reconciliation process, including clearing and settlement processes and collaboration with Corporate Tax and Treasury Teams
  • Responsible for maintaining key centrally managed functions within ERP system, including monthly FX rates/restatements, multiple ERP mapping tables, chart of accounts and annual processes
  • Assist with the preparation of various external and internal reporting
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and processes
  • Analyze and report on Corporate Departmental monthly cost variances
  • Support the annual consolidated financial statement external audit by preparing account reconciliations and other supporting schedules
  • Provide key financial information for Corporate entities to Corporate Tax Team for the purposes of completing US and Canadian Income Tax Filings
  • Manage, train and coach Financial Analysts
  • Collaborate regularly with various Corporate, Divisional and Plant Teams
  • Assist Internal Audit and with special projects, as required

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA designation preferred
  • US GAAP experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting required; manufacturing industry experience preferred, including experience with monthly financial close
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with JD Edwards preferred
  • Meet deadlines and deliver quality results in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask required. Must have strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, taking initiative, prioritizing and demonstrating strong detail orientation
