- Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers – Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs)
- Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) at customer assembly facilities, warehouses or customers globally.
- Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.
- Assist with process improvements.
- Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
- Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business
- Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place.
- Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements
- Interact with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances.
- Serve as the Supplier Quality Engineering representative for the Power Turbine and Packaging build activities in Montreal, supporting daily operations and addressing supplier-related quality issues in real time to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with Repair Technicians, MRB, and cross-functional teams during daily and weekly PT DMS meetings to review build stop issues, track non-conformance progress, and present investigation updates.
- Support root cause investigations and QN management by coordinating with suppliers, internal SQEs, and quality teams to ensure timely resolution, effective containment, and prevention of recurrence.
- Contribute to governance and continuous improvement initiatives, including the Clear the Cage project and QN Tracker development, aimed at reducing non-conformance backlog and improving visibility of corrective actions.
- Partner with key stakeholders across SQD, Internal Quality, and Engineering to define clear accountability, strengthen collaboration, and drive alignment on supplier quality priorities for Power Turbine and Packaging components.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.
- Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
- Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.
- Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
- Technical training or further education in quality mechanical or electrical engineering
- Confident knowledge of office computer programs (MS Office)
- Proactive, independent personality
- Excellent communication, organizational problem-solving skills required.
- Experience or working with critical parts.
- Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
- SAP experience
