Description

We are looking to add a MOA to our team at FamiCare Medical Clinic. The clinic located in the west end of Edmonton. We are currently hiring part-time or full-time position.

The MOA position requires a person who has at least 1 year of experience in a clinic setting, with EMR training.

The clinic is open from Monday-Friday excluding statutory holidays. Clinical hours are Monday-Wednesday 9:00am-5:00pm, Thursday 11:00am-6:00pm and Fridays 9:00am-12:00pm. Exact hours can/may vary depending on availability and clinic needs.

PLEASE NOTE:
we are currently located in the west of Edmonton. The clinic is going to move south in the new year.

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary Education/ MOA Course
1 Year in clinic experience within the last 5 years
Med Access Experience (Preferably) OR EMR Experience

Duties listed but not limited to:

Answering phones/making phone calls
Booking appointments
Preparing exam rooms before and in between patients; setting up trays for medical procedures.
Checking vitals per routine of clinic, Weight/Height/ Blood Pressure
Creating and maintaining patient charts, faxing documents/forms, invoicing uninsured fees, etc. With other staff member, you will direct/attach all incoming communications (including faxes) to appropriate patient chart using EMR Med Access
Creating and Sending referrals/ referral forms
Creating requisitions for imaging, laboratory testing, etc...
Stocking medical supplies for examination rooms
Maintain patient confidentiality (HIA) and the ability to be discreet and thoughtful
