Analyst, Investment Management
Based in Toronto
the analyst will report directly to the Director, Investment management. The Analyst will be responsible to ensure portfolio objectives on value, return, occupancy, and other performance indicators are achieved.

In addition to managing core valuation, budgeting and asset management functions the individual will be challenged to put forward business recommendations supported by financial analysis as well as a comprehensive assessment of strategy and risk in relation to the market.

In addition, the individual will play an active role in managing complex mixed use development models and support the acquisition and disposition program as well as other value add initiatives.

As an Analyst, Investment Management
You Will:

Embrace and pro-actively support QuadReal's culture of environmental sustainability, and corporate and social responsibility.
Actively participate in leasing and operations meetings to maximize performance of assigned assets.
Provide analytical support to the annual budget process and create portfolio level tracking summaries to monitor leasing, capital and returns.
Preparation of financial analysis, proforma modeling, market reports and investment memoranda for a variety of purposes, including development proposals, property level holdsell analysis; major capital and leasing investments decisions; and as required, acquisition/disposition analysis.
Active role in the preparation of annual business plans; operating and leasing budgets; and quarterly reports and presentations.
Manage appraisal process, including providing external/internal appraisers with property level information and insight. Work with the valuations group to provide analytics to support the business.
Gather and interpret market and economic research and coordinate integration with analysis and preparation of investment memos.

Your Background:

University degree in Commerce/Business Administration or alternatively. An MBA, AACI, CPA or enrollment to a CFA is an asset.
24 years of related industry experience; working with a real estate company (asset manager or developer), real estate brokerage or advisory firm, appraisal firm, or real estate lender is preferred.
Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to exercise strict confidentiality
Accurate and detailoriented with strong analytical skills; ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure, manage and meet tight deadlines;
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word; high proficiency in Argus Enterprise. Experience with Yardi is an asset.
