Overview:
We are currently looking for someone to join our

Finance Team as either a

co-op student or a new graduate

. This is a full-time role, based out of our

Kitchener corporate office, with remote working options available.

This role is an integral part of the Finance team and participate in

Basic Accounting, Bank Reconsiliations, Accounts Revievable, Accounts Payable, and other administrative duties. All while ensuring compliance with legislation and Company policies. We are a leader in the Home and Community Healthcare sector employing over 3500 workers across Ontario. There is a wide variety of work you will be doing and will be working with great finance leaders


This is a Full-Time Contract position. Hours of work will be Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm and will be hybrid (in office and in home).

What The Role Involves:

  • Receiving vendor invoices and reviewing them for accuracy and completeness
  • Completing Journal entries and bank reconciliations
  • Obtaining necessary approvals according to company policies
  • Reconciling invoices to other systems as required, investigating variances to a resolution
  • Record and ensure proper coding and allocation to correct general ledger coding
  • Preparing payments for managers' review and responding to branch and vendor inquiries
  • Collaborating with other departments all departments and branches within the organization
  • Participating in problemsolving activities that relate to quality improvement and operational efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring:

  • University or College degree/diploma in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • 02 years' experience in payroll, accounting or human resources
  • Working knowledge of accounting/ bookeeping
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft office, with proven skills in Word and Excel
  • Keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multitasking skills and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude, willing to learn, grow and be an integral member of the team
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the health care field or homecare sector an asset
