About the Role:
The Project Engineer defines the requirements of a project, manage the planning, organization and controls of all the aspects of projects.
This is a new position in the company.

What you will be doing:
- Lead Project Team(s) in order to Manage successful implementation of projects.
- Conduct detailed reviews of Tender Documents to ensure it meets company standards, and project expectations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, investigate and action those opportunities to drive increased customer satisfaction and operating cost reductions.
- Manage the integration of process improvements into business practices, establishing and maintaining high quality assurance standards, procedures and controls.
- Maintain collaborative relationship with SME (Subject Matter Experts), Project Team Members and Management across the organization.
- Raise awareness of, supports, and uses leading methods and tools in order to drive project management culture through the organization.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
What you will bring:
- Minimum 5-10 years' Plant Engineering & Project Management experience (capital and operational) within a manufacturing environment.
- Food Industry experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated success in building strong, collaborative teams, setting stretch objectives, and holding people accountable for commitments with a track record of delivery favorable results.
- Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of process improvement tools.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
- Computer literacy (MS Office), and strong proficiency with AutoCAD and project software.
- Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering.
- Six Sigma designation an asset.
- PMP designation an asset.
