Operations Supervisor to support our security operations in the
North Coast

Job/Skill Requirements


The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the security officers are performing their duties to the standards as determined by the company through on-site visits, training, mentoring, disciplining, and troubleshooting.

This position ensures all operational information is channeled appropriately and effectively to our employees to ensure appropriate service delivery to clients.

The Operations Supervisor will be in a "senior supervisory" position in the region and will take direction from the North Coast Management team.

Other aspects of work may include scheduling, report auditing, HR assistance, quality assurance audits/checks, fleet oversight, uniformed security and other tasks required as per direction from the management team.


The Day to Day

  • Conducts unannounced post inspections to investigate complaints, ensure proper attendance, appearance, report keeping and vehicle operation. Conduct onsite quality assurance inspections as directed by the Operations Manager/Management Team.
  • Comprehends, applies, and documents positive reinforcement, coaching, ensure progressive discipline as appropriate
  • Verify assigned duties and rules of conduct are being followed.
  • Acts as Management's representative outside of normal business hours.
  • Safeguards confidential phone lists, schedules, keys, access control and credit cards, and other equipment.
  • Provides regular ongoing training for security officers in post, operational and safety topics.
  • Meets with branch management and client representatives to review status and address perceived problems.
  • Responds to calls for assistance, reports of accidents or injury, and significant incidents reported by security officers.
  • When necessary, will assist with scheduling by filling all open posts and callups without using overtime.
  • Personally, stands vacant posts when necessary to ensure contracted coverage is provided.
  • Provides support during account startup.
  • Communicates and coordinates with responsible branch staff regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping, and related matters, to ensure smooth delivery of client security services.
  • Notifies and keeps the Management team informed of emergencies and unusual circumstances.
  • Assist with general recruiting, HR, administrative and OH&S functions
  • Maintain consistent management practices that promote low turnover, Non-Billable Overtime, and excellent service to our customers.
  • Maintain a proper and sustained documentation process of all disciplinary actions, incidents, and overall daily activity will be practiced.
  • Weekend and afterhours availability are a must.

What you bring


Police, military, and/or security experience preferred Open availability preferred Must be able to communicate effectively in English Must be service/customer oriented.


Certification Requirements
Must have valid BC Security License Must have valid BC driver's license


Education Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
