MUST BE AVAILABLE FROM 11pm to 7am DAILY

An Overnight Stocking Associate processes freight, participates in Zone Defense and offers Customer Service, while maintaining exemplary customer service by adhering to the Basic Beliefs and values of Wal-Mart.

General Responsibilities

• Practicing the 3 meter Attitude.
• Stocking merchandise on the correct counter in the correct space according to the label or instructions ensuring stability.
• Filling floorplans and modulars with correct merchandise.
• Securing heavy display items.
• Writing/securing merchandise price information on small to medium sized signs.
• Disposing of trash/boxes quickly.
• Zoning the department(s).
• Responding to Customer requests for information and service.
• Assisting Customers in finding merchandise.

Additional Responsibilities

• Adheres to all company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Maintains departmental operational standards by:

• Working with the Department Manager(s) in processing overstock.
• Assisting the Department Manager(s) with modular changes.
• Keeping the work area clean and hazard free.
• Keeping modulars clean.

Practices safe work habits by:

• Stretching/warmingup prior to shift.
• Being knowledgeable of and following emergency and safety procedures.
• Following Health and Safety guidelines.
• Keeping the area N.C.O. and free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
• Maintaining unblocked and unlocked exits.
• Using proper lifting techniques.
• Stable stacking of merchandise.
• Following proper safety rules for box blades, pallet jacks, ladders, Baler, Compactor etc.
• Being familiar with lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualification Requirements

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Basic Reading/Writing Skills

• Ability to understand the meaning of written or printed matter and to record information by inscribing characters or symbols.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• The Associate must complete all Wal-Mart Basic and Advanced Training Modules and classes.
