Do you have solid experience in High Voltage and Transmission? If so, we are currently looking for a High Voltage Specialist - Power to support the technical aspects of renewable power generation projects being developed and constructed by Enbridge.

Enbridge is looking for an individual with a balance of not only construction and engineering experience but equally mature influencing and management skills.

What you will do:

Lead and coordinate required aspects of high voltage interconnection development, including liaising with ISOs and transmission providers required by utilityscale renewable energy projects including solar, storage, and wind.
Develop preliminary interconnection layouts, and single line diagrams for renewable energy projects to support permitting and interconnection work.
Evaluate and negotiate transmission upgrades required for grid connection.
Work with EPC contractors, internal and external stakeholders to determine project scope including relay protection and SCADA.
Resolve technical issues relating to project requirements during execution.
Update and maintain standard functional specifications to be utilized in EPC and construction contracts.

Who you are:

Electrical Engineer degree or diploma with 7+ years of experience in High Voltage grid design and interconnection in large scale renewable power projects, with a strong background in engineering and construction activities.
Professional designation is considered an asset
Significant knowledge of transmission system configuration, design, integration, and grid compliance testing.
Experience in telecommunication system design, equipment installation methods and practices.
Strong leadership and interpersonal, technical, project planning and administration skills; relates to a variety of styles and can build trust and consensus in a team.
Outstanding integrity and teamwork; values the sharing of information and common goals.
Unwavering dedication to providing a safe, incidentfree work environment.

Working Conditions:

Typically, in an office environment.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time within Canada and United States.
Environment may be fast paced, with deliverables based with competing deadlines.
