The Role:
This role is responsible for strategizing to cut procurement expenditures, contract management and to maintain and build professional relationships with vendors.
The Accountabilities:
- Coordinate and manage activities during the purchasing process, such as preparing requisitions, purchase orders and receipts
- Secure and analyze quotations in conjunction with price and term negotiations
- Review and maintain all supplier and vendor contracts, terms and conditions
- Sourcing and building relations with new vendors
- Identify cost savings within current process
- Cost review of current vendors
- Build professional relationships with all key suppliers
- Assist with maintaining inventory controls
- Provide support to other team members
- Miscellaneous projects and requests as identified by Manager
The Requirements:
- Ordering/Purchasing experience
- Inventory Management experience considered an asset
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, exceptional customer service, and organizational skills
- Motivated selfstarted with a high attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Highly adaptable and flexible to accept innovative ideas, people, and procedures and adapt to a changing environment
- Experience is writing Policies and Procedures
- Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment, with mínimal supervision
- Experience with renovation procurement an asset
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel
- Workday or other large ERP system experience would be an asset
This is a full-time position that is scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday and will report to the Manager of Procurement.
The position will have a hybrid work set-up with opportunity to work in the office at our 150 York St location in downtown Toronto 2 days/week.
