Spiteri & Ursulak LLP is a full-service Law Firm in downtown Ottawa. We are currently seeking a talented Articling Student to join our team.

The Articling Student shall assist in all aspects of civil litigation, corporate and commercial, employment & labour, real estate, wills and estate and family law practice.

Responsibilities and Duties_
- general organization and management of files
- initiation and follow-up communication with colleagues, clients, counsel, and courts as maybe required/assigned
- accessing and utilizing online resources
- reviewing, summarizing, and compiling documents
- providing support in all aspects of firm's general practice as may be required/assigned.
- drafting routine documents for civil litigation, corporate and commercial, employment & labour, real estate, wills and estate and family law matters

Attending and assisting counsel with client meeting and court appearances

- various other duties as may be required

- proficiency in Office 365, Westlaw
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- focused on accuracy and attention to detail
- able to multi-task and prioritize
- able to work independently, as well as supporting a team
- able to identify problems, develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- exceptional organization and time-management skills

Education and Experience_

Law Degree (JD or LLB) with permission to article in Ontario

Salary _$40,000-$50,000 per annum
