Our client, a global pharmaceutical organization, is looking to hire a Sr. Financial Analyst (hybrid work model, 2 days onsite, 3 days WFH) for their office based in Montreal, QC. The incumbent will report to the Controller and he or she will be integral to both financial and management accounting tasks. This role entails comprehensive financial analysis, including profitability, cost, and budget evaluations, along with managing financial reporting and ensuring robust internal control.

Accountabilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial tasks across monthly, quarterly, and annual periods, assessing trends and discrepancies.
• Accurately manage journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and guide junior staff through financial procedures.
• Analyze financial statements to bolster budget alignment and historical comparisons.
• Craft and convey financial reports for strategic management decisions.
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure financial precision and recommend process enhancements.
• Oversee timely financial submissions, including compliance with internal controls and external reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Bilingual in French and English, with a comprehensive grasp of accounting principles.
• Proven background in accounting practices, reporting, and analysis.
• Self-sufficient with the ability to work collaboratively in a lean, agile organization
• Knowledgeable with MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.)
• CPA designation is considered an asset for this role
