    Research and Development Coordinator and Digital Workshop Operator Costumes and PropsTemporary Position (8 months)

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Use 3D printers and laser cutters to produce components and elements needed to make costumes.
    • Follow an established work plan to meet order priorities and production deadlines.
    • Coordinate and participate in the research of new techniques, materials and technologies to improve our manufacturing processes.
    • Design and test prototypes using experimental methods.
    • Carefully document manufacturing steps, technical adjustments and problems encountered.
    • Organize and maintain an efficient documentation system to ensure project traceability.
    • Monitor industry trends and propose innovations to remain competitive in the market.
    • Monitor R&D project budgets.
    • Act as R&D spokesperson on the shop floor.
    • Create attractive visual content (photos, videos) to showcase our innovative projects.
    • Animate our social media platforms by regularly sharing our achievements and processes.
    • Prepare and deliver demonstrations and presentations at the Workshop to share progress and discoveries with the team.
    You possess the following professional and technical skills:

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the manufacture of props or costumes in the entertainment industry or equivalent;
    • Ability to work with certain hazardous materials, nontraditional materials or tools;
    • Excellent understanding and knowledge of social media;
    • Editing and video skills;
    • Technical skills in 3D printing and laser cutting operations.
    • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
    • Written and verbal communication skills to document projects and present information clearly and convincingly.
    • Creativity and ability to innovate to solve manufacturing challenges.
    • Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment and share knowledge with other team members.
    • Interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships.
