Event Marketing Specialist (FT Summer Temporary Position)
This position is responsible for assisting our Marketing Coordinator during a 8 week summer term 35 hrs per week. Position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Grant for individuals who are 18-30 years old.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Responsibilities for Event Coordinator:


  • Support the Marketing Coordinator with planning, implementing, and monitoring our Throwin' it Back Golf Tournament.
  • Monitor and update spreadsheets such as guest list, sponsor list and etc.
  • Help organize and coordinate volunteers for the tournament.
  • Help approach potential sponsors and registrants for the tournament.
  • Assist with marketing team and committee for the event to promote it.
  • Finalize a timeline for the tournament with committee and handbook for volunteers.
  • Coordinate volunteers, vendors and sponsors on the day of the tournament with the Marketing Coordinator.
  • Assist with picking up silent auction and raffle items

Qualifications for Event Coordinator:


This is a Canada Summer Jobs grant funded position and the applicant must be between the ages of 18-30 years old.

  • Creative thinker
  • Outgoing and personable
  • Preferably experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferable experience with design programs
  • Must provide a clear Police Information Check (PIC) and Intervention Record Check (IRC)

Hourly Rate:

$16.47/hr at full-time hours of 35 hrs each week Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm with 1 hour lunch break. *May have to work the occasional evening/and or weekend*
