Currently in the Canada, our specific expertise is in the implementation and optimization of Innovation Incentives, Sales Tax Recovery and Property Tax Consultancy with Real Estate Appraisal & Valuation.


Function of the role:


We service a wide variety of customers across all sectors of industry, therefore the Business Development Manager will work with a variety of different businesses typically involved in West Coast of Canada and catering to the US market.


The Business Development Managers main responsibility is to generate new business accounts in North America/US market, while being supported by an onshore and offshore Inside Sales team.


This is a hybrid remote role, with Wednesdays in the Montreal office.

Main Responsibilities will include:


  • Generate leads through researching the market and cultivating your personal network.
  • Maintain close contact with consultants, external professionals and associations to identify and develop business leads through referrals.
  • Manage the entire sales process for all business leads.
  • Identify decision makers, schedule meetings, meet qualified prospects, and execute appropriate sales techniques and cycle to close sales.
  • Diagnose prospects' business climates, challenges, strategic needs, and pain points and
develop a true-value proposal to positively impact their businesses.

  • Work with management to develop sales/marketing strategies and to penetrate new markets.
  • Directly reporting into the Sales Manager while working autonomously and collaborating with fellow BDM's, Consultants & Inside Sales.
  • Training the inside sales team to generate appointments according to your preference.
  • Generate leads and attend meetings regularly every month through networking and general prospecting;
  • Meeting and Exceeding month KPI's & targets; and Annual revenue target driven.
  • Account management of existing clients.

Desired experience and skills:


  • Minimum 5 years experience in selling services to mid & highmarket clients.
  • Prior work experience with a large management consulting firm in an asset
  • A postsecondary education or equivalency
  • Proven track record using a sales methodology to generate business leads, open doors, and manage the sales cycle to contract signature.
  • Highly motivated, results driven, independent thinker, perseverant and strong sense of initiative.
  • Strong customer focus, interpersonal and team oriented skills.
  • Experience selling finance, innovation and operations is an asset.
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Focused and wellorganized, selfstarter, autonomous, dynamic.
