Manager, IT & Innovation


The
Manager, IT & Innovation will be responsible for leading and overseeing our IT infrastructure and driving innovation for the Pacific Region (BC & Yukon).

They will work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure all technology is maintained in optimal working conditions for reliable and consistent service delivery.

The Manager, IT & Innovation will lead the review and implementation of any new technology improvements to create efficiencies and/or improve the effectiveness of service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Oversees the maintenance, optimization, and security of all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure components, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and information security requirements.
  • Manages adequate levels of inventory for IT hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Establishes and enforces IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and security to mitigate security threats and system vulnerabilities.
  • Develops and maintains IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Stays current with technology trends and identifies emerging technology to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Manages digital transformation projects from inception to completion includes user adoption and technical integrations, as required.
  • Performs testing of any new software or systembased technology improvement within controlled environments prior to implementation to evaluate potential improvements and the overall return on investment.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understanding IT and innovation needs to provide proactive solutions and support.
  • Oversees the IT HelpDesk responsibilities to ensure timely resolutions of technical support.
  • Establishes and maintains SLAdriven partnerships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Develops KPIs and metrics to measure effectiveness of initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on innovation and digital transformation.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading IT and digital transformation projects from conception to implementation.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and IoT.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate crossfunctional teams.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and/or IT governance (ITIL) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ISO27001) is a plus.
  • Must be capable of passing Transport Canada Security Clearance and obtain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).

Salary:
$80,000 - $90,000
