Job Summary
Responsibilities and Duties
Regulatory Compliance
- Plan, organize and provide consulting services to clients for Acumen's Regulatory Compliance Practice Area
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure clients' compliance with FERC, NERC, and Regional Reliability Standards
- Coordinate evidence collection and management for various NERC functional entity clients
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with compliance issues
- Develop and implement tailored compliance policies and procedures
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and updates, ensuring clients' ongoing compliance
- Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation to regulatory authorities on behalf of clients
- Deliver training and educational programs to client teams on compliance standards and requirements
- Actively participate in industry working groups and forums to stay updated on evolving standards and best practices
Marketing & Business Development
- Analyze opportunities in accordance with established Acumen market plans in order to identify potential clients
- Analyze potential client requirements and assist in developing/delivering competitive proposals
- Participate in meetings, seminars, conferences, and other general marketing activities
- Assist with the development and documentation of market strategies
General
- Project/client management
- Willingness to learn other Acumen services such as operational technology, cyber security, and energy solutions/services
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Business, or related discipline
- Minimum 510 years' experience in the electric utility industry
- General working knowledge of power system operations, transmission, generation, distribution, and an understanding of power systems engineering
- Experience with FERC/NERC Reliability Standards and the various Regional criteria
- Understanding of electric system engineering technical issues and operations
- Knowledgeable in Regulatory obligations, organization and processes in the utility sector, and ability to evaluate and interpret new or evolving reliability standards
- Knowledgeable in NERC audit processes including NERC RSAW development and audit evidence collection
- Experience in consulting, sales and marketing preferred
- Project management experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and critical problemsolving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must pass a criminal, crossidentity and financial security clearance check
Working Environment
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment with mínimal physical effort required; remote work schedule
- Visits to industrial client sites required; appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided
Salary:
$70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
