    The Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher (PT) plays a vital role in the hotel's success by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high kitchen standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Operates, cleans, and maintains dishwashing equipment, ensuring a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
    • Completes assigned prep work to support the kitchen team during regular service and banquet event preparation.
    • Adheres to Coast Hotels' quality standards when completing tasks.
    • Maintains the safety and security of the property, ambassadors, and guests while performing duties.
    • Stocks supplies and monitors inventory levels.
    • Serves as an ambassador for Coast Hotels, promoting a positive image.
    • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills with internal and external contacts.
    • Performs other duties as required.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset; candidates with culinary arts or professional cook training are preferred.
    • Possesses FoodSafe certification or equivalent.
    • Recommends Hepatitis A Vaccination.
    • Requires physical mobility and stamina.
    • Maintains a professional attitude and appearance.
    • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
    • Takes verbal direction and reads instructions effectively.
    • Thrives in fast-paced environments.
    • Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Performs duties efficiently.
    • WHMIS training is an asset.
    • Embodies Coast's core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability.
    • Able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
