We are looking for an for a General Labourer to join us and become part of our Arrow family in Edmonton.

Our Edmonton Reload specializes in transferring product from rail to truck and from truck to rail using overhead crane and forklift.

Responsibilities:

As general labourer, you will:

Assist with general yard clean up/maintenance.
Assist operators with loading and unloading railcars of steel and lumber.
Assist with cleaning of equipment, cutting steel banding for package securement, monitoring disposal of items, and railcar securement.
Work outside in the yard in all weather conditions.
Work in adherence to all safe work practices, procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard, shop, department, or work crew.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

You Possess:

Ability to climb ladders, throw rail cables and lift 50lbs
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (snow, rain, subfreezing temps, heat, wind)
Previous general labourer experience is an asset
Forklift operation is an asset
Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
A positive team attitude
