Salish Sea Industrial Services (a Ralmax Group Company) has an exciting and immediate opening for a full-time Project Coordinator in Victoria, British Columbia.

Salish Sea Industrial Services is a marine construction company operating in Victoria's Upper Harbour and sites around Vancouver Island.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for the systematic and efficient management of project contracts, and their execution and analysis, for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement project schedules as per contract drawings and specifications, providing management support to Foremen and crews throughout the project to ensure timely and successful project delivery;
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions;
  • Consult with clients and company representatives to direct project development;
  • Estimate and order material takeoffs, as required;
  • Prepare job quotations for customers and bid proposals, including material takeoffs and labour estimates;
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations are met at all times;
  • Manage project planning, materials, and budget;
  • Surveying and field measurement;
  • Attend official onsite weekly meetings, when required;
  • Document and obtain approval on changes and amendments to the contract;
  • Provide progress reports and job costing;
  • Issuing purchase orders to vendors accurately.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in construction contract/project management (Marine construction experience is an asset);
  • Experience with reading, understanding and taking action on environmental reports;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Shows Initiative and is actionorientated;
  • Works effectively with others;
  • Demonstrates respect and integrity.

Work Conditions:


  • Travel to offsite locations will be required;
  • Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steeltoed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.;
  • Overtime as required.
