    About the OFA:


    • The OFA is an agency of the Province of Ontario that manages the Province's debt and borrowing program;

    About the Division:


    The Information Technology Division is responsible for information technology strategy, architecture, cyber security, infrastructure and network management, specialized treasury application development, and electronic business solutions.

    About the Team:


    The Technology and Security team oversees IT strategy, technology modernization, cyber security, enterprise architecture, change management, problem management and IT business continuity.

    The team has a dedicated focus and emphasis on IT digital and cloud services transformation, cyber security risk mitigation, and IT business enablement.

    What can I expect to do in this role?

    In this role, you will:


    • advance and develop a digital transformation strategy that guides the OFA through digital changes based on the business vision, emerging trends, business preferences, and technological advancements.
    • advance high priority digital transformation initiatives supporting IT operating environment configurations, deployments, and application integrations on cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with OFA objectives and industry best practices.
    • perform expert level data analysis to gain insights into digital trends, business needs and operational dynamics to provide expert advice to business leaders, enabling informed decision-making.
    • provide hands-on senior technical expertise in the adoption of cloud-based solutions and the modernization of OFA on-premise IT environments to cloud infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and other platforms.
    • collaborating with various departments and business units to bridge the gap between technology and business requirements, to ensure seamless integration of digital initiatives.
    • support IT governance, enterprise architecture and security review practices to assist in the planning, design, and implementation of secure cloud solutions.
    • assist in development and maturity of IT governance practices by providing technical guidance and expertise in cloud architecture solutions for large scale IT projects.

    How do I qualify?

    Information Technology and Security Knowledge



    • You have knowledge of IT cloud technology principles, methodologies, mechanisms and techniques with specialized knowledge of infrastructure products, services and troubleshooting methods.
    • You have knowledge of Information technology and emerging security technology systems, tools and techniques such as: IT network defense, cloud technologies and artificial intelligence.
    • You have knowledge of commonly used scripting and programming languages, relational databases, software development frameworks such as Agile and Azure DevOps.
    • You have knowledge of cyber risk vectors and threat landscape trends including common and advanced techniques/procedures used to compromise I&IT service integrity.
    • You have knowledge of cloud adoption methods to minimize risk and drive the deployment, migration and adoption of cloud infrastructure workloads.

    Research, Analytical and Problem Solving Skills



    • You have strong proficiency in leading and conducting comprehensive research to explore the latest trends in cloud infrastructure solutions, cyber security methodologies, and techniques, providing strategic insights to inform digital transformation initiatives.
    • You can provide strategic advice and problem-solving expertise in IT cloud transformation projects, contributing to the development and implementation of transformative strategies and solutions tailored to organizational objectives.
    • You are aware and stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, continuously updating knowledge and expertise to enable informed and forward-thinking strategic decision-making.
    • You have an ability to conceptualize, interpret, and evaluate IT transformation opportunities across diverse domains, facilitating the identification and implementation of innovative solutions throughout the digital transformation journey.

    • You have demonstrated knowledge of project management methodology, principles and practices.
    • You can provide leadership, advice and direction on business risk planning and co-ordination.
