Aviva is pleased to announce the start of our recruitment for our Summer Intern Program for the period of May 2023 to August 2023.

This is an excellent opportunity for post-secondary students to gain exposure to the insurance industry. We are currently looking for summer interns to join our finance department.

Aviva realizes the importance of creating internships as a means to develop talent to meet future requirements for entry-level insurance roles.

What you'll do:

Assist in coordination of Aviva Climate Day and employee volunteer events
Maintain and update project plan
Work closely with Sustainability team and agency on overall implementation of Sustainability initiatives
Support team in sourcing and organizing volunteer opportunities/team volunteering activities from May
August
General admin support as required
Support any other Sustainability projects as required

What you need to succeed:

Currently enrolled in a postsecondary program and actively pursuing a bachelor's degree or college diploma
Demonstrates a desire to go above and beyond and hunger to learn and grow
Ability to adjust with mínimal supervision where priorities may shift due to changing business needs
Strong verbal and written communicator with high caliber, professional business demeanor
Significant experience using Microsoft office programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
A real passion for helping people
Pervious Insurance program or work experience is an asset
Have a minimum 2.75 GPA or B average
Passion for Sustainability/climate/corporate responsibility/interest in tackling climate crisis
