    Walter Surface Technologies, a manufacturer of specialty products for the metalworking industry, is looking for a Channel Marketing Specialist to support its North American operations.     In this role, you will act as leader, collaborator and executor of channel marketing initiatives - helping our customers work better and safer This position is responsible for working cross-functionally to develop initiatives, ensure flawless execution and monitor performance with our key distribution partners.     Responsibilities:

    • Build Expertise in Channel Marketing through coordinating and executing distributor engagement programs aimed at building mindshare and driving top-line growth. In conjunction with Sales Management, you will work to identify and develop opportunities with distributors in support of Walter's marketing activation plan.
    • Develop Strong Relationships with distributor's marketing teams through the delivery of the Channel Strategy which includes quarterly activations, marketing engagement initiatives, building channel sales tools & programs, and loyalty programs.
    • Communication is key, so you will be directly involved in all inbound and outbound communications and announcements. To ensure cross-functional collaboration, you will be responsible for managing communications with internal stakeholders including brand marketing, product management and commercial strategy team.
    • Responsible for making marketing initiatives visible to the Walter salesteam with the objective of jointly driving the initiatives with end-users and with distributor reps
    • Merchandising brand visibility at distributor branches plays an important role in driving sales. As such, you will be responsible for implementing Walter's new branch merchandising strategy across North America.
    • Track Success by efficiently managing the channel marketing budget.
    • You will monitor and evaluate distributor performance against agreed-upon metrics, provide feedback and identify areas for success and improvement

    Required Skills & Aptitudes

    • Proven project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and deliverables
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to clearly articulate ideas and present
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills
    • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite - Data Software Cognos and Salesforce is an asset

    Experience and Education:

    • University degree in Marketing or Business Administration
    • Minimum of 3 years of B2B industrial experience in marketing and/or channel marketing
    • Bilingual in French & English both verbal & written
    • Occasional travel (less than 10%)
