- Perform ultrasound procedures, including clinical assessment, in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient's diagnosis and/or treatment
- Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding organizational and departmental policies and procedures
- Adhere to organization mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Provide radiologists and vascular surgeons with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with physician when necessary
- Perform other duties related to the job classification as required
- Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
- ARDMS (CRGS) certification and RVT (CRVS) required
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required
- Sonography Canada membership preferred
- Proficiency in all of the following:Peripheral arterial doppler arms/legs (ABI/TBI), PVR/segmental pressures, post bypass/intervention follow-upDialysis access evaluationPeripheral venous, including duplex arms/legs, venous mapping, venous insufficiencyExtra cranial carotid duplexAAA screening, EVAR follow-up
- Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Physical ability to perform the expected job duties
- Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities
- Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with the clinical educators
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
- Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
- May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites
