Fleet and Facility Assistant - Burnaby, Canada - Canadian Security Intelligence Service
Description
Job Summary:
- Organize and control the use and assignment of fleet vehicles and ensure that problems are resolved
- Complete vehicle reports by collecting odometer readings, gas bills, repair costs, and entering data into a Fleet Management System
- Prepare and track documentation for fleet vehicle inspections, provincial registrations, and vehicle wallets
- Ensure the optimal mechanical operation of fleet vehicles through routine inspections, servicing and preventive maintenance of vehicles, and troubleshoot problems when required
- Shuttle the vehicles (various models and types) between the office and the dealerships/repair facilities
- Assist with shipping and receiving peripheral duties
- Complete minor facility repairs
- Assemble and install small furniture and office items
- Coordinate service calls with contractors to address reported issues

Education:
- High School Diploma
If you completed a program outside of Canada you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense through a recognized credential assessment service.
Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in driving motor vehicles (in various weather conditions) with a valid and permanent Canadian driver's license
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clerical role where functions include planning, organizing and coordinating activities/actions
- Experience in working with managers and employees at all levels
- Experience in providing client services
Asset:
- Knowledge of mechanical or vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of building maintenance
- Knowledge with Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook

Conditions of Employment:
- A valid and permanent Canadian driver's license
- Defined as a G Class (Ontario) or minimum of a Class 5 (remainder of Canada). G1, G2, Class 6, Class 7 and Learner's Permit will not be accepted.
- Lift, carry, push and/or pull a minimum of 20 kgs (45 lbs) and maintain the physical demands of the position
- Work outside of core hours of work on occasion, sometimes on short notice
Notes:
The majority of work in our organization must be done in the office and cannot be performed at home.
