Position Description

  • We are looking for a Quality Coordinator who will empower the Department with decisive commitment to quality standards, while holding yourself and your team accountable.
  • We are looking for a highly driven, selfmotivated, individual with excellent organization, management, and communication skills.
  • To ensure success as a Quality Coordinator, you should possess indepth knowledge of Quality Management Systems, with knowledge of Health Canada Cannabis Processing Standards and Requirements an asset.
  • An outstanding Quality Coordinator will be someone with high quality assessment skills, who can quickly adapt to the accelerated growth of the market, working collaboratively with Team Members that will translate to products of exceptional quality with an open, respectful, and supportive work culture.

Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy and Management

  • Attend Production Schedule Meetings (Daily / Weekly)
  • Organize Quality Intermediary Vacations and Timecards in ADP (Weekly)


  • Manage Complaints

  • Tracking, Investigation, Response and Closure.


  • Manage NCRs

  • Tracking, Investigation, Response and Closure.
  • Implement and Maintain NCR Meeting (Weekly)


  • Manage SCAR

  • Tracking, Investigation, Response and Closure.
  • Manage Change Order to ensure timely closure.
  • Assist with Management of QMS, QSS.
  • Act as QAP
  • Review RM Specification and Approval
  • Review FG Specifications and Approval
  • Change Order Approval
  • Conduct Batch Audit and Positive Release
  • Update Positive Release SmartSheet for Tracking
  • Liaison with 3P for Batch Release, as required.
  • Report Batch Release KPI to Customers, as required.
  • Review Shipping Tracker and Schedule for Priority Release
  • Update Job Transition for Release Date
  • Update OCS Tracker, as required.
  • NCR Review and Closure
  • Complaint Review and Closure
  • Manage HC Inspection / 3P Audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Quality Management/Systems

  • Adheres with company quality and sanitation standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional networks as needed.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Completion of Post-Secondary in Industry-Related Coursework (Microbiology and Food Science) preferred.
  • 510 Years on Job Experience in industryrelated (Cannabis or Food Manufacturing) Quality Leadership role.
  • Indepth knowledge of Quality Management Systems, with Health Canada Cannabis Processing Standards and Requirements an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Lead Department with decisive commitment and accountability to quality standards.
  • Highly driven, selfmotivated with excellent organizational, management, and communication skills.
  • Willing to be flexible in their hours.
  • Proficient in using all Microsoft Office Software Services.
  • Proficient in using Epicor (ERP System), an asset.
  • Proficient in using ComplianceQuest (CQ), an asset.
  • Proficient in ADP, an asset.
