About the Job
The Supply Chain Ops Specialist is responsible for the specialized operational function(s) for assigned work group(s) in a SCS logistics operation.
Position responsibility may include customs documentation, research into customs clearance specifications, troubled supplier documentation and tracking as well as potential problem solving follow up with those troubled suppliers.
May interact with Suppliers and the customers based on the complexity and scope of the account.Work Type:
Full-time, permanent
Salary:
$55,000 to $65,000 annually
Shift:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm

Responsibilities
- Complete training associated with customer customs courses annually.
- Participate in CBSA Audit annually.
- Follow and lead all Plant customs documentation requirements as requested following the guidelines outlined in the mandatory training.
- Determine any classifications, license permit, HTS or CERS requirements.
- Ensure all required supporting documentation (ie MSDS) is provided and included in shipment.
- Maintain ILM record retention guidelines.
- Work with onsite teams to identify and issue problem solving requests for Supplier nonconformances.
- Track and ensure timely responses to problem solving requests.
- Track supplier performance and identify trends.
- Provide metrics in relation to supplier nonconformances and progress made to correct.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Potential for afterhour's emergency support.
Requirements:
- H.S. diploma/GED
- One (1) year or more in logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
- Material Global Optimization systems (MGO) intermediate preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with employees, peers and management
- Strong organizational, followup and computer skills required
- Ability to work self directed with mínimal supervision
- Ability to manage individual performance and employee relations
- Ability to use sound judgement when information is incomplete or ambiguous
